The government shutdown continues as Democrats refuse to approve the $5 billion in funding that President Donald Trump is demanding for a border wall. While the debate over the border wall was unfolding, DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen traveled to Texas following the death of a second migrant child in border patrol custody, and the president and First Lady made a surprise visit to troops in Iraq.
