The Menominee Reservation holds more timber today than it did one hundred fifty years ago.

Most of Wisconsin's forests were stripped bare during the great timber boom of the nineteenth century. But the forest of the Menominee Reservation holds more timber today than it did one hundred fifty years ago. The sawmill run by Menominee Tribal Enterprises has provided tribal members with a living and way of life for one hundred years through selective harvesting and sustainable methods.
